These custom molded
foam insulation jackets surround the meter body while still allowing the register
to be read and the lid opened. Once installed, they don't need to be touched
again until the meter is changed, but are fully re-usable.
Unlike heat tape that can overheat and warp the precision measuring
elements in a meter, these jackets won't harm the meter. They can even
protect it from overheating when used with heat tape on the inlet and outlet
pipes. They also work where there is no power for heat tape.
